Christmas Gifts

·        A chance meeting with a friend while Christmas shopping that turns into an unforgettable conversation of hope and expectation for what God has in store for us.

·        All my children home together for the Christmas season.

·        Baking Christmas goodies with my sister for the first time in six years. She’s having to endure some colder temps than Honduras, and we’re glad for the opportunity to spend not just the holiday season together, but the everyday, mundane things as well.

·        A loving church family with whom we can laugh and cry.

·        I cannot take for granted the gift of a warm house. Some families who went through the fall flood just recently had their furnaces installed and had been living with space heaters that were hardly sufficient.

Grandpa & Grandma Nauman with their 10 children
The cousins and their spouses that made it to the 90th celebration.

Yesterday was Grandpa Nauman's 90th birthday celebration and it was done in style. My Aunt Margaret and Aunt Millie did the organizing and planning. It was well done.

The treasure of a christian heritage is immeasurable. Realizing how much Grandpa and Grandma's prayers through the years for their children and grandchildren brought me to tears. Those prayers can reach to multiple generations.

What are the important things in life? My deep, yet obvious answers: God and people! During this Christmas season, I want to take time for those two things. With God's help!
A new waypoint in 37 more days! We are heading to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for 11 weeks!

We will be living next to Mike and Glenda Miller, Border Buddies Missionaries.

Phillip and Rachelle will be coming with us. We look forward to visiting my cousin Melanie and her family while we are there. Some interesting points about Honduras were mentioned in her latest blog post.

We don't have much of an agenda, but are praying that God will guide our steps!
