They finished the work by noon with some literal rednecks and only one casualty of a cut finger. We thought that was pretty good considering all the roofwalking and sharp edged sheet metal. Tom's finger should heal up quickly.
Yesterday our boss decided we could take an afternoon off and relax a bit. Picacho is a neat park to visit, so after lunch we climbed the hill for a great view of the city and the statue of Jesus.

Time for El Patio! After Picacho we headed to the open air restaurant where pinchos are a favorite. Dad ordered an "El Patio" shishkabob. Everyone enjoyed their food and the Mariachi music.
Saturday afternoon was the weekly youth group filled with activities, love, and kids of all ages. If I remember correctly we had kids from the age of one year to age sixty eight. Soccer is always on the agenda.

The craft project was a decorative box made out of wall paper squares folded to make a top and bottom. The kids loved it and loved the time with their personal tutors to help them make it. Even the teachers were thankful for the ones they got to take home. And of course there was the candy. And the chalk war. We handed out toothbrushes to counter the effect of the candy thanks to lots of dentists and generous hearts back home.
